I've been getting notices that my blog or postings are being liked by others - but that doesn't show up in the stats. Meaning, earlier this evening, I had 7 views. Then I got notices that three others liked my blog, but nothing changed in the stats - it was still at 7. Is there a glitch going on? Is there a way to like blog or post without actually seeing it?
The blog I need help with is megancashmanbooks.wordpress.com.
If you do a forum search you'll find this is because people subscribed to your blog who view it in the Reader don't count as a View, but they can still LIke your posts.

That used to drive me crazy, not knowing how I got those "likes" when people didn't touch my site. I learned they could use their readers for tags/topics. I don't like the system at all, but cannot do much about it. It would be nice to have people actually look at all your content before clicking on that silly like.
There are several different ways that readers can start following your blog.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/followers/
A follower can click the “like” button when viewing your posts in the Readomatic reader on the home page of WordPress.com without visiting your blog or the Tag surfer http://en.support.wordpress.com/tag-surfer/ An email subscriber can click the “like” button in the email they receive of your new posts without visiting your blog.
P.S. To compel readers to click into my blog to read the full post I have set my RSS Feed to “summary” on this page > Settings > Reading
Followers are the number of readers following your blog and blog posts comments.
Your followers receive an update, either on their Read Blogs page or via email (or both, depending on their settings). There are several different ways that readers can start following your blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/followers/
Go to your site stats page and click “Totals, Followers & Shares”
Click the Blog link under the number and the Site Stats » My Followers page will open. Click the Email Followers link.
