VIP Host

  1. I would like to buy a vip host.

How much do I have to pay for it? and what abou my doamin, and posts?

The blog I need help with is anime-kami.com.

  2. It's not that simple. To even be considered, your blog has to have a minimum of 500,000 views per day among other things, cost-wise it starts at $500 a month.
Might want to read this article for more:

  3. Hmm i see...

And if a want change, to a "private host" (i'll pay for a host)...is there any tool to help me making that change??

If i do that, what will happen with my domain and posts??
    ------

I want a private host to be able to use google ads and others stuffs that right now i can't :/

  4. Please read this http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-read-me-first-before-posting?replies=1 as it describes the differences between blogging here at wordpress.COM on a multiouser blogging platform with free hosting, and getting free software from wordpress.ORG, hiring a web host, purchasing a domain and exporting the contents of your wordpress.cCOM blog out, and then importing it into your new wordpress.ORG install. This post may also be helpful http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2008/06/26/how-and-why-to-get-your-own-domain/

  5. Hey soz, but that link doesn't answer my question, It just talks about the differences between .org and .com ...

I need to know if is possible to transfer the entire blog with all the posts to wordpress.org...

  6. Yes. Please read
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/
    As I said above:
    (1) You can hire a web host and purchase a domain. If you already have a domain then you can purchase domain mapping to it.http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/
    (2) You can get free wordpress.ORG software for your domain.
    (3) You can export the contents out of your wordpress.COM blog to your desktop.
    (4) Then you can import the contents of your wordpress.com blog (the exported files) into your new site.

  7. What timethief said, plus you'll find some recommended hosts for WordPress here:

    http://wordpress.org/hosting/

  8. WP should take out Justhost from the recommendation. Justhost is dishonest.

  9. Un-justhost?

    :-)

  10. LOL, tsp!

BTW, they can add A Small Orange to the list. You know they have 'recommend a host' option in their new web hosting recommendation page they have built recently [can't find the link presently]
