It would be helpful if the number of visitors (discrete IP addresses) was separated from the number of visits – one person visiting 6 pages or 6 people visiting 6 pages? Thanks.

Uniques are not recorded here at WordPress.com. WordPress.com pages are page view stats. Every page view is a stat. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/

Yes, that's clear. I have read that page. The purpose of this posting is to make a feature request – the stats as they stand are not as useful as they could be. Thanks.

Quantcast is built into all WordPress.COM blogs and gives those stats - but since you have domain mapped your name you will need to ask Quantcast to add your site - http://www.quantcast.com/leasidemews.ca
Took me several requests for my site before they finally got the stats to work
