Visits per post - 'no stats available for this period' on EVERY post, why?

  1. Why does my blog (songofwheels.wordpress.com) tell me there are 'no stats available for this time period' for EVERY post?

The blog I need help with is songofwheels.wordpress.com.

  2. Are you using this link? https://wordpress.com/my-stats/
Are you running one of the browsers and versions of them found at http://browsehappy.com?
Have you tried disabling all browser addons?

  3. Since your site is so slow loading and burns a ton of bandwidth - I can understand people not visiting your site

  4. As auxclass said above your blog loads very slowly. Here's the report:
Your website is faster than 44% of all tested websites.
    http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/diKKJv/http://songofwheels.wordpress.com/

These are the ways to reduce page loading time:

    1. Edit posts and insert "the more tag" so only excerpts appear on the front page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

    2. Reduce the number of posts appearing on the front page here > Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most _ posts

    3. Reduce the number of images and or media embeds displayed and/or make them smaller.

    4. Reduce the number of widgets in the sidebar and footer areas.

  5. P.S. I'll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up re; your stats. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  6. Hi there,

I'd recommend checking your blog's stats from the My Stats page here: https://wordpress.com/my-stats/

That way you can get an overview of your blog's stats and then focus on specific posts or time periods that you want to see more stats for. We also have details about those stats here: Stats

If you still have questions or concerns about your blog's stats, please let me know.

  7. Dear Timethief

Thank you for your valuable response. I can find my stats ok from the stats page. Rreally what I want to see is stats on syndicated views which are only visible (to my knowledge) if you go to Posts - All Posts and click on the stats pic next to a specific post.

This is where the trouble comes in. This page shows a grid from the 1970's onward as well for some reason.

As to my use of browser, - in my other blog (in another language same content) none of these problems occur.

Perhaps there is a setting for the period of stat's somewhere that is different between the two sites and causes this difference in display?

    Thanks

  8. Dear Rachelmcr

Thank you, looking at stats under my-stats is no problem and works fine. My problem is in checking syndicated views which are not shown there but under individual posts as far as I can see.

I did read the bit on 'stats' before I posed my question and did not find an answer.

  9. Hi there,

You can also find the syndicated views for your posts from the My Stats page. This page illustrates where to find those stats: http://en.support.wordpress.com/feeds/#feed-statistics

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

  10. Dear Rachelmcr

Thank you for your trouble and we may be on to something here! My songofwheels blog does not have the little + sign next to the top visited posts on the stats page either.

    Why could this be please?

  11. Hi there,

If you click the "Summaries" link in the Tops Posts & Pages box, you should see a list of posts and that + sign to the right of each one. Please let me know if you don't see that there!
