Visual Editor not appearing

    I'm having problems with the Visual Editor not showing up (leaving me with the HTML editor only). If I try and click on the tab that says "Visual", my entire editing box disappears.

    I have searched previous threads for this problem, have tried both suggestions that I found, and unfortunately neither one worked for me. These suggestions are 1) checking the checkbox on my Profile that says "Disable Visual Editor," saving this option, then clearing the checkbox and saving again; and 2) clearing the cache and cookies in my browser, restarting the computer, and then logging back in.

    My blog is located at http://notsocalm.wordpress.com. I am using Mozilla Firefox version 3.0.6 on an IBM ThinkPad running Windows XP.

    In case it matters, I have the following Firefox Plugins installed: Google Gears, AdBlock Plus, Scrapbook+, and Zotero.

    Any thoughts, suggestions, or other help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    I suggest you do the Cookie Dance: log out, clear browser cache and cookies, and do a full restart. Report back if that works.

    Nope, still doesn't work. I just tried it twice.

    Please let me know if there is anything else I should try...

    I was getting so frustrating with this that I decided to remove Firefox and reinstall -- this worked, but I'm not sure if it had more to do with reinstalling Firefox itself, or with reinstalling the add-ons.

    Kind of a harsh solution, but if anyone else has this problem and nothing else works, you might want to give it a try.

    Okay, I spoke too soon. The problem came back, I went through the whole process of uninstalling and reinstalling everything, and nothing.

    Please, if anyone has any other ideas, they would be REALLY welcome right now.

    I don't want to move to Blogger!

    I had to contact staff and in a day they had sorted it out for me.
