visual verses html editor in Add a post

  1. Am I correct in assuming that the difference between typing a post in WordPress in the visual mode verses typing it in the html mode (tabs at the upper right in the add a post section of the dashboard) is merely how it looks as you type it? And that the post winds up in html either way?

I ask this because I am trying to format a post to use as a guest post, and other blogs apparently want posts submitted to them to be in html.

    Thanks in advance!

The blog I need help with is writingsmart.wordpress.com.

  2. You are correct - the only difference is how it looks to you - the end result is basically the same (there are a few things you can do in the html editor that can't be done in the visual editor, they are some formatting things)

  3. Thanks much for the prompt and helpful info!
