Want a private membership area

I would like to create a private membership area on my blog. An area that I can update, just like the main page, with multiple posts, etc. An area that only paid customers would have access too. Is there a way to do this in WP.com?

Also, I need to have an option to purchase with instant download. Any advise on how to add this feature to my blog?

The blog I need help with is creativelyobsessed.wordpress.com.

  3. Purchase instant downloads of what?

    Sales/selling are limited here.

I guess I will have to upgrade or look for something new. I did not know there was a difference between wordpress.com and .org. I have had the .com blog for years and just recently got into the digital scrapbook business. I currently sell at a couple of digi scrap sites, but wanted to start offering things on my blog.

    1) A membership only area, they pay a fee, get access to one downloadable item right away, and a few each month through out the year

    2) Another thought I had was if I have to set up some kind of shop or payment application, I might as well start selling my kits on my site as well.

  5. It depends on what you're selling. If they are items you created yourself, you'll be OK, but there is no way to install a shopping cart here.

Some people use Etsy (a craft selling site) and link to it from here.

You van make the site as a whole private, but I'm not sure if you can make only certain sections private.

You can use a PayPal Donate button, but I'm not sure if WP allows selling private access.
