Hello:
Since I can view/edit/delete(trash)/approve/unapprove/reply comments made by me and others on my primary WordPress.com weblog via "https://thebloggingpath.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php", I would like better control over and/or the ability to edit/add/delete comments (sometimes stupid/erroneous/embarrassing./last minute goofs/whatever) that I made on other WordPress.com weblogs.

The best way is to not make those comments in the first place.
If you have specific ideas about what you want, please spell them out. Staff do pay attention to these threads, but they'd need more to go on.

But people (like me) do make mistakes with "comments/replies". And that is why I had opened up this/my forum topic.

Okay, while showering earlier, I had thought about what you said/replied. Here are my thoughts and I hope it helps improve the blogging community here at WordPress.com.

My main concern is the lack of control to moderate "comments/replies" made by WordPress.com users, who should be able to "preview" their "comments/replies" prior to submitting a "comment/reply" to weblog posts hosted on WordPress.com and/or WordPress.org.
And if WordPress.com users already submitted a "comment/reply" to weblog posts hosted on WordPress.com and WordPress.org and ALSO to WordPress.com forums but would like to "edit" their "comments/replies", I would like to suggest a time frame of no more than four hours before this "edit" feature cannot be modified, for example.
Also, I would like a "field" in place as a REASON for the "edit" to comments/replies made on posts and/or forums.
The edit function was renoved on these support forums because it was a abused. I don't want to see that function re-enabled here unless there will be a Staff member monioring this forum 24/7 and that isn't going to happen.
I use an offline blog editor to compose coiments in and then copy and paste my submissions into comment boxes.
When it comes to editing comments submitted to my blog I have a policy for that:
7. Comment editing: If you wish to correct typos or spelling errors in a comment submitted for posting use a comment box on the most recent post to make contact, and they will be edited accordingly. I didn't realize people would abuse the forums. And that ruins the opportunity for real re/solutions made by those WordPress.com users. I had expected ANY forum to be monitored 24/7. And it's too bad because I see lots of good ideas on this forum that seem to go unanswered/unresolved.
Unfortunately, I could NEVER perfect anything and that's why the "edit" function would have been helpful to those who cannot seem to get it right the first, second or as many times around...Think first -- type second -- double check -- click submit.

I'm the queen of typos :( Even with the use an offline blog editor to compose comments in and then copy and paste my submissions into comment boxes I make mistakes. When I was able to see without any problems I used to be a perfectionist. I guess the typos I make today are my karma payback for being prideful.

Thanks for sharing your input(s). You are/have always been a valued contributor to the WordPress.com forums. Hopefully, team AutoMATTIC/WordPress would address our concerns.
I guess my "karma" would be WAITING for useful "change(s)" to happen here at WordPress.com, such as timely replies/responses by at least ONE of the WordPress.com "staff" because I see lots of forum topics that could/should be CLOSED. But I guess that won't happen either. :)
