Want to delete old blogs

I can't believe the only option for this is to post my information publicly and wait for a staff person to address this.

I have about 8 blogs which I need removed from my account as they were self-hosted blogs which I used the JetPack plugin with.

Is there another process to have these removed?

  2. You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you'll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don't understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It'll help people to answer your question.

    This is an automated message.

  3. Provided you post the URLs of self hosted blogs you want deleted from your account into a forum thread like this one, Staff can do this for you. Please do that now as I tagged this thread for their assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

Perhaps it is easiest if I request that ALL linked blogs be removed. Then I can re-add the one that I want.

  5. Sure if that works for you then that's what Staff will do.

That will work for me, thanks.

I haven't heard anything. How long do these requests take normally?

  8. They take as long as it takes for Staff to answer all the threads tagged for their attention that have date stamps and times stamps earlier than the ones in this thread. (Usually 1 day.)

  9. Hi,

I've removed all of the Jetpack sites from your account. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!

There are still 2 sites in my account: Allegrativity and MakingOnlineSimple.

  11. Hi,

Those two accounts were both re-added about five hours ago. If the sites are still using Jetpack, they need to be connect to a WordPress.com account, so if they're using your account, they'll continue to (re)appear in your account.

You can disconnect them via the Jetpack menu in the Dashboard of those sites and connect them using a different account.

If you still want those two sites removed, please let me know and I'll remove them again for you.

    Cheers!

Those sites no longer exist, I did not re-add them.

  13. I've removed them from your account again. If they re-appear, we can take the conversation off of the public forums to determine who/what could be re-adding them (does CopyBlogger/Flywheel have some type of process, etc).

    Thanks!

They are back. How should we proceed?

  15. Thread tagged again for Staff.

    I haven't heard anything.

  17. I'm sorry but most Staff are on retreat.

  18. Hi there - Hmm, that's odd. I'm going to pass this issue along to our Jetpack team for them to take a look at, and someone from that team will be in touch with you shortly. Thanks for your patience!

  19. @AllegraSinclair Do you happen to have the WordPress mobile app on one of your mobile devices (phone or tablet)? If so, do you or did you ever have your site linked through the mobile app?

It might be worth trying to remove the site from the Mobile app. Once you've done so, we can try to remove the site from your WordPress.com account once again.

    Thanks!

Is there a WordPress.com specific app or do you mean the 'regular' WordPress app? If it's the latter, I do have that on my iPad and iPhone but I will remove them now.

  21. Hi there - The regular app. If you can just confirm that you've removed those unwanted sites from the app. You don't have to delete the apps altogether.

I already deleted the app from both my phone and ipad.

  23. Hi there - Ok, I've removed Allegrativity again. Should these two also be removed:

Does it take a while to delete? I just went to my blogs and there are still 3 there.

  26. Hi there- I only just removed blogsimple. The only one left is http://www.allegrasinclair.com . If you still see the other two, please clear your browser cache.

Hopefully, that will take care of this for you, but if any of them do appear again in future, please reply to this thread and let me know. If you can pay attention to any actions you took on WordPress.com/Gravatar just prior to the connections appearing in your My Blogs again, that'd be really helpful to us. This is a bug that we're trying to nail down. Thanks!

Gosh, I hadn't been in gravatar for ages. I just logged in on a different computer using a different browser and I still see Allegrativity. I can't understand it.

  28. Hi there - It was re-added since I removed it. :( So, all you did since we last spoke was log into WordPress.com on another computer? Let me report this to the team looking into this.

That's correct. I just logged into Gravatar now but I had already seen Allegrativity in 'My Blogs'.
