Want to make sure no more payment will be deducted from my bank

  1. I have had my personal account connected to a site I no longer use. I switched to option to end automatic renewal, but would like to make sure that no one can deduct further funds from my account. How can I do this?

The blog I need help with is mikevroman65.wordpress.com.

  2. I am not seeing any upgrades associated with mikevroman65.wordpress.com.

I do see another WordPress.com site on your account that has an associated upgrade. However, auto renewal is not activated for that upgrade. So you can safely ignore the expiration reminders and just let it expire.

  3. Thank you. The Grand Rapids Voice on is the one I am concerned about. Is it possible for someone with access to that account to switch back to auto renew and have the money withdrawn from my bank/paypal account? I ask because I no longer have access to that site, so I can not change the settings there anymore.

No. Upgrades are user based, not site based. So nobody can force you to pay for an upgrade.

That having been said, if that upgrade is important to the site in question, you might want to connect with the current admins to make sure that they do not lose the ability to renew it if they want.

  5. Thank you very much. That was what I was worried about. They don't seem to like me anymore, but I have no problem letting them finish the year I paid for as long as they go no further without putting up their own money. I could have just cancelled immediately, but I'm trying to be more civil than them.:)

  6. I understand. A nice move on your part.
