Hi Newbie here. I have 2 blogs I recently started on wordpress and would like to set up domains and hosting for them. I was wondering what you guys use for your web hosting. Have seen the bluehost, dreamhost and laughing squid advertised by wordpress.org and like that they are, easily work with wordpress blogs. I have also checked out Go daddy , Host Gator, and 1to1 host, but am still not clear the best option. I was thinking of 1 to 1 because they offer dreamweaver for free for signing up for a account, that program can cost a few hundred dollars. But I am still looking? Basically , what I am looking for is multiple domain support, ability, to upload files easily, good amount of storage space, and good support.

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is safetyandsecuritytips.wordpress.com.

  2. You can get a unique domain here with the paid upgrade.

Hosting advice is given at WordPress.ORG. By definition, everyone here has chosen WordPress.COM for their web host and probably has no other recommendations to make.

  3. WOW their offering Dreamweaver for free??? I'm curious is it the whole program or just something like the student version?

  4. Both thesacredpath and I use A Small Orange for web hosting our wordpress.ORG installs. Their 24/7 support service, features, and pricing are excellent. See here > http://www.asmallorange.com/hosting/shared/

  5. Hi there,

I'm hosting a number of WordPress blogs like Dawhb.com with http://www.hostcolor.com for 6 years and never had worries. Their support is good and fast responsive. However to be objective I should say that it is not hard for any hosting provider to have a stable service. What really matters in Shared Hosting is to have a good support. My advise for anyone is to read user reviews in the forums, before choosing a hosting provider and not to get fished by so-called Top Web Hosting directories, which offer just a bunch of affiliate links.

  6. i would recommend just buying a domain name here on wordpress; otherwise i use godaddy for my domains and hostgator for my hosting. they're both pretty alright.
