How do I have a website that I design using WordPress and that is hosted by it, and a blog using WordPress on that website. So far I have all my information on one WordPress Blog but I have the blog "stuff"e.g. widgets (facebook link, subscribe to newsletter etc...) showing down one side. I only want to have that on my blog. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Shena

What theme are you using? On some themes, you can choose page by page whether you want a sidebar. For example on a theme I use on one site, Coraline, when you add or edit a page, there is an option for Page Attributes and from that you can choose template and choose either the default template or a full width no-sidebar template for that page.
Here is a great resource about wordpress.com and this links to the section on the display of widgets. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/11/12/widgets-on-pages-or-single-posts/

That's absolutely fantastic! It worked ~ Thank you so much! Major learning curve here... I have set everything up to get all the content written etc. and now and trying to make some of the pages look like the website. I am using Chateau and it does have this option ~ now that I know where to look, thanks to you! Truly appreciate this.

The wpbtips.wordpress.com site is a treasure trove of information. The support pages at http://en.support.wordpress.com are also excellent. Put those together with the forum with many more experienced volunteers than me and you have a trifecta of support here.
