When I look at comments on my blog they now have links to totally unrelated ads. For example someone used the word books...and I suddenly had a square pop up telling me I have Valentines messages waiting for me [18 in fact] from Mate 1...which I am pretty sure the blogger never put up there. Also within the post that have NOTHING to do with the post. What is going on ?? This is really annoying actually.

Thanks - it did help...sort of. I didn't have the add on it talked about but played around with what was there and it seems like it is gone for now. I hate all this sneaky sneaky ad stuff. Thank you so much for pointing me in a direction to help
Why am I suddenly getting pop up ads at the top of all my editing screens? I can't get them to go away.
They are malware that's most likely coming from a browser add on.
WordPress.com does not use text enhance or text link ads or pop-up ads or links in comments. If you are seeing those then that's a browser-ad-on issue, or in some cases, it's embedded into free games and/or toolbars downloaded from the internet. Thank you. I was able to disable it by going into Chrome's plug-in page: chrome://plugins/ and disabling Java. Apparently it is Java 7 that allows the malware to get into your system.
