What are Facebook Followers?

    I just connected my blog to Facebook and now all of a sudden I have 623 Facebook followers. They aren't following my blog are they? I have 630 Facebook friends so it does not really make sense...?

    The blog I need help with is lielsbeat.wordpress.com.
