What Feed Burner to use?

  1. I want to make use of a Feed Burner. I signed up with RapidFeed. I asked Werkpress to help me incorporate it into my blog. Werkpress told be that I can not use RapidFeed on WordPress. What other options do I have?

  2. Is there a reason you need to use Feedburner? WordPress.com automatically generates an RSS feed for your site that can be found at: http://specksfinancialreporting.com/feed/

Also, WordPress.com already generates stats for your site, which would eliminate the need to use Feedburner for stats. To find out more about how stats are measured and reported, please see this support page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/

    I hope that clarifies things.

  3. Thank you

    Just to clarify:

Will I see the email addresses for those that subscribed to by blog via email?

Will I see the email addresses for those that subscribe to my RSS feed but does not have a WordPress account?

  4. Will I see the email addresses for those that subscribed to by blog via email?

Yes, under "Totals, Followers & Shares" on your stats page. Here's more information: http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#totals-followers-shares

Click Followers and you'll see everyone following your blog via the WordPress.com Reader and by email.

Will I see the email addresses for those that subscribe to my RSS feed but does not have a WordPress account?

Followers reading your blog via its RSS feed will not count toward your blog statistics. You can, however, see the number of syndicated views each post receives on your stats pages. No feed or stats tracking service will provide email addresses of individuals subscribed to your RSS feed as following an RSS feed is independent of email.

    I hope that clarifies things!

  5. Yip! Thank you so much! R

  6. Please help further:

The problem is: When I use the RSS option provided by WordPress it gives the following message when my friends click on it: "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." And a full page of codes.

This looks really bad. How do I fix this?

  7. Users of Chrome and other similar browsers will notice a “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.” error followed by the raw feed. This is normal, as Chrome was not built to interpret feeds. Instead, subscribe to the feed in a real feed reader, or install the RSS Subscription Extension.

    I hope that clarifies things!
