What is "aside"

  1. Scrolling through my blog posts, I noticed one is missing its headline. When I go to my dashboard and view posts, the headline is there, but the word "aside" is next to it. I don't know whether I did anything different when creating this post, but would like to get rid of the "aside" and have the headline show up where it is supposed to.

    Any suggestions?

The blog I need help with is linneamax.wordpress.com.

  2. If you use the add new link or "Quick Post" link on the main page of WordPress.com to create posts you are creating only "asides" without titles.

Aside – These are brief snippets of text that aren’t quite whole blog posts. Useful for quick thoughts and anecdotes. From > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-formats/

  3. If you choose to go to the dashboard on your own blog, rather than the WordPress.com main page "Quick Post" link then you can use the "Add New" button to create "Standard" posts.

Standard – Your normal, average, everyday blog post. This is the default styling for your theme.

  4. P.S. The fastest way to locate the "Ad New" link on your blog's dasboard is to click on your username in the Admin Bar (upper right corner), hover your mouse over your site name and then click "New Post".

  5. Fixed it - thank you!

  6. You're welcome and thanks for sharing that good news. :)
