What is the easiest way to move my blog on wordpress.com to wordpress.org

  1. My domain when entered goes straight to wordpress.org... but I created my blog on wordpress.com.....I dont even know how I did that but I just wanted to know the easiest way to transfer my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org.

    Thanks for the everyone

  2. You won't find that many answers here, because by definition everyone here is hosted at WP.com. But if you do a search you find several threads:

  3. Thanks raincoaster...I not computer literate so I wanted to ask you.all I want to do is promote my business by having a blog.Utilizing my own domain or even wordpress. What is the difference between the wordpress.com or wordpress.org.I like wordpress.com it was easy to do,But as a business owner is there any difference?

Cant I just stay at wordpress.com and have the same functions as wordpress.org?
    Thanks Rich

If you want to use your own domain with a wordpress.com blog you can use the domain mapping upgrade:

    About wordpress.com and business blogs:

If you are no computer literate (to use your own words) I'd suggest you warmly to consider very well the work involved in a self-hosted wordpress installation: it has indeed more functionalities, but you have to fiddle with php code, with javascript code, with (x)html and css formatting and with a database and you have to take care about updates and backups: these are all things wordpress.com users don't have to bother with.
