   are there any "freedom of internet speech" laws as such, or am i protected by just american laws..since WP is based in the US?
   i spew vitriol against indian politicians, and a spate of new legislations regarding online content in india is making me worried. they could take my blog down *worst case*, so i want to know if im protected by any law at all.

   Your local laws generally always apply, so if there's a penalty for writing something and you wrote it, it probably doesn't matter that it is hosted on servers in the US.

   WordPress will NOT go to court for you. You're generally on your own. But they will do their best to protect your blog contents from censorship.
