What's the difference in functions between a page and a category?

  1. When I add pages to my site, I get a menu across like a regular website (which is what I'm ultimately after)... but then I'm not sure if those topics should be listed as categories or... I'm very confused.

    Categories make it easy to group related posts together. You can learn more about them here:

    Pages, on the other hand, are useful when you're trying to publish information that doesn't really change very often: About pages, Contact pages, and the like.

    You can put either category pages or regular pages in your navigation menu by using the handy Custom Menus feature:
