What's wrong with my import from Xanga?

    i have followed all the required steps to import from Xanga, but have not yet received confirmation that the first file has properly uploaded. It has been more than 24 hours, and there are four more files after this one (which is the largest).

    The blog I need help with is iamforjonathan.wordpress.com.

    Note that you must open the .zip export folder you get from Xanga and import ALL of the files included in the .zip folder individually.

    Thank you for your reply.

    i have download the Xanga files and attempted to import them separately. The import seems to be inconsistent, however.

    So far i have gotten three "import finished" and three "import failed" emails, and, confusingly, two of the "import failed" emails came after the seemingly correspondent "import finished" emails. i am not sure what i am looking at when i return to the dashboard; the posts i would expect to find after receiving an "import finished" email aren't there.

  4. There is an issue with "import failed" emails being sent out regardless of the status of the import. In other words, even when it is successful, the emails are being sent out.

    Just continue to import all of your .xml files, and your blog should be fine.

    Okay. It is helpful to know that "import failed" emails might be spurious.

    Now, a new problem: My import has been stuck "processing" for a few days now. Reloading has no effect.

  6. I've manually reset your import for you. Please try again. You should not have to reimport any files already imported.
