What's Your Latest Blog Post About? 2

  1. I'm having a sort of quarter-life crisis and decided to bare my soul here on WordPress. It's cheaper than counselling.

Spideron - really deep, brave stuff to blog. Hope things get better for you but you can take comfort that the writing is powerful stuff.

My latest is about the Tulisa sex tape that's emerged on the internet over the past couple of weeks. As I'm using humour to make some serious commentary on a very sensitive issue, I could sorely do with some constructive criticism on the article - bearing this in mind, please feel free to leave comments over there...

    Massive thanks

  3. Today I once again pointed out the historical inaccuracies of a popular book. Surprisingly, this book was not written by Conn Iggulden, whose books I have a love-hate relationship with. It was written by Anne Rice.

  4. I wrote about independent women of this day an age, are they really independent?

  5. Whisper Of A Thrill - On the back of my previous post, I have decided to actually give poetry a try. =/

  6. Today I reviewed another book by one of my favourite authors, Michael Scott. He's a wonderful fantasy writer that is constantly pushing the boundaries of the genre while providing a fast-paced and entertaining read. Honestly, what more can I say? Well, other than the fact that whoever writes the blurbs for him desperately needs to learn how to summarize properly.

  10. Ancient warfare is awesome. Especially when it's about a ruthless Egyptian prince, Kamose. But now that I've read this book, I'm not so sure Kamose's horrible reputation is deserved. I guess Pauline Gedge achieved her goal with the trilogy.

  18. You know the Condescending Wonka meme? Apparently someone became very pissed off about it.

  19. As many of my readers know, I have a thing about accuracy in historical fiction. In fact, I can be quite cruel when it comes to criticizing writers for not doing enough research. But there are some instances when it's okay to mess with history and that's what I discuss here in my latest rant/article.

  21. I'm such a sap. Today I reviewed one of the only book aimed at children and tweens that has made me cry. I'm serious. The book is fairly good, but the ending is sad. When I made my mother read it, she was outraged that I didn't tell her about the ending. Despite her outrage, I convinced her to read the rest of the series, which is absolutely a worthwhile read.

  22. My last post is a review of the new horror/comedy film The Cabin in the Woods - read it here :)

Any likes/comments would be very appreciated as the blog is a part of my university course and the more viewer interaction I get the higher my grade!

  23. Un-Creative - Riatarded currently has a challenge going where you describe how you overcome writer's block. There are basically three things I do to let the creativity fly and this is it.

  24. My regular readers know I have a love-hate relationship with Conn Iggulden's books because he changes history around a lot. But I found a new author that writes historical fiction just as well as Conn Iggulden does and he's much more accurate!
