When I grow up, I wanna be...

  1. So, my blog is about my fear in the face of adulthood...I've recently graduated and am at a complete loss as to what I want to do with my life. I spent six years studying law and the only thing I learnt was that I don't want to be a lawyer, time and money well spent, no?

My question, therefore, is what was your childhood dream, your adolescent ambition, and how has it matched up to what you're doing now?

I've always wanted to write a book (like all those other thousands eh?!), I'm one step closer writing a blog and getting past writers block. I've also always wanted to work in advertising - I'm about to graduate so lets hope it happens...

  9. 10 again.

  10. For all of you who have Dreams - you may find my blog interesting. Check it out at TeensDream's. I wish you all Success!!!

  11. As a child, I wanted to be a reporter.

As a teen, a wanted to marry my boyfriend.

As a young adult, I wanted to be a musician.

    Now I'm 26, a housewife.

  12. I wanted adventure. Got it.
I wanted to travel. Did it.
I wanted to be a writer. Did it.
I wanted to be a poet. Did it.
I wanted a farm. Have it.
I wanted an interesting life. Have it.
I wanted someone to share it. Have them.

So, I might be an old curmudgeon, but I'm a fairly happy one!

Any childhood dreams left to achieve? I'd like to make a difference and I'm still working on that.

  13. Mines.. pretty matched up with what i want to do. I want to be... anything that has to do with art. Preferably writing, manga, illustrations. So yeah... D: Question is whether or not i have the ability...

  18. Young.

  19. I'd like to get involved in horse racing - but mostly from a rescue standpoint. Take a bunch of forgotten ones that are destined for slaughter and let 'em live out a life of happiness. I'd also like to find a Kentucky Derby winner, don't get me wrong, but my feeling is that if I get enough money to care for one, it's going to be one that needs the help first.

  20. I wanted to be peter pan.
    seriously.

now.. I still want to be peter pan.

  21. thru my teens
I wanted to be a professional wrestler. seriously. all the theatrics mixed with athleticism.
still kickin my self for not tryin out.(even if i would have probably failed out of training)

  22. Six years studying to be a lawyer is a very long time. I assume that was night school. Law school and Law Job are two very different things, so don't be certain you don't wish to be a lawyer. After all, there are all sorts of lawyers -- you can help people draft wills, you can help people draft contracts, you can help people acquire businesses. You can work any number of government jobs as well!

Personally, I always wanted to be a lawyer. Luckily, that's what I ended up doing with my life. As there are so many different types of "lawyer" there are bound to be many jobs any "lawyer" hates. It is just a matter of finding the one you like.

  23. I just wanna do a duet with Thom Yorke. Just one song.
