For several days I have noticed that when I "save draft," the html content is in my post before my actual post reappears. Why has this begun to happen? Is something different going on with wordpress? Do I just need to get used to seeing this breakdown?

Well, WordPress.com does usually get several updates a day and we're constantly working to make it better! Sometimes bugs sneak in. I'm not sure what's happening regarding seeing the html content before your actual post appears though. Is that happening just on the edit page? Could you please let us know what browser and browser version you are using?
