When I type in my domain name it goes to the page, but says page not found, why?

You deleted the Hello World placeholder post http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ and as soon as you publish a post, not a page the 404 (page not found) error message will disappear. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
