I am having A TON of junk blogs copying my articles, posting it to their blog, saying they wrote it, but when you click on "read more" it takes them to my blog. Is there anything I can do to stop that or is that normal? Doesnt it mess up the results for the search engines if he has the same article, title and tags? HELP, its driving me nuts

  2. These are blog scraping sploggers. They are stealing your blog content so they can make a few pennies from the advertising they have on their sites.

While it is permissible to publish and excerpt and properly attribute it to it's actual author and provide a read more link to the remainder of the article, falsely claiming authorship is against the law.

You will find that the forum search box has many threads about what to do about content thieves http://en.forums.wordpress.com/search.php?q=steals+your+content

The bottom line is that if you want something to be done then you have to proceed with a DMCA notice.

  3. i've read in this forum quite lot of problems of the same types^^...hence this is not safe.. all our stuffs are being used in other sites... is there any solution to prevent this

  4. None other than making your blog completely private. You have to deal with them one by one.
