Where are "permalinks" located?

    I am using the book "WordPress for Dummies". It does not match the site. It says I can find Permalinks under Settings, but it is not there.

    The book applies to the self-hosted version of the WordPress.org software. There are some differences for blogs hosted on the WordPress.com service.

    To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
