Where do I insert code on to pages?

  1. Where can I "drop" code into a page on my blog? I've upgraded to a premium theme, making an ugly site completely incomprehensible. I'd like to edit my header, a a start. <script type="text/javascript" src="http://use.typekit.com/agg3ukm.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">try{Typekit.load();}catch(e){}</script>

    Same issue for verifying my site with Google. I'm advised to simply drop a piece of code in to the page. But I can find no place where I can drop code.

    Any help gratly appreciated.

    The blog I need help with is therocketreport.wordpress.com.

  2. You cannot use JavaScript on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. For security reasons as this is a multiuser blogging platform the software strips out all blogger initiated JavaScript.

    For verification of blog ownership of free hosted WordPress.com blogs with the major search engines you must use this process as no other one will work.

  3. I'd like to edit my header, a a start.

    We cannot access metadata on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. We cannot edit templates or themes. CSS editing cannot be used for the purpose you indicate.

    Does the Custom Design upgrade let me edit HTML?
    No. The Custom Design upgrade allows you to edit fonts and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup, PHP code, or content. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

  4. You can add typekit fonts to sites here at wordpress.com with the custom design upgrade.
