when i entered copyright info as text widget everything else dissapeared on my main blog page, the categories, about author, and others leaving only the copyright info..can i have copyright info as text widget side by side with categories, about author, and how to i retrieve what dissapeared and/or add again?

Every theme has a default display of widgets. When you choose to move any widgets into your sidebars that cancels the default and your choices prevail. If you wish to have other widgets go to -> Appearnace -> Themes and drag and drop the other widgets you choose into the sidebar.
The "about author" widget is a theme-generated faux widget and is not available as a widget that you can add. What you can do though is to either use the "authors" widget, the "gravatar" widget or make your own "about author" widget using a text widget.
