Well, ok, here's what I did.
I mistaked domain mapping for redirecting a site. I've had oursimplelovestory.wordpress.com for two year, and I wanted to have more control over my creative content (ie, fonts, other themes, plugins, etc) so I got my own site hosted on godaddy and set up my site the way I wanted. When I mapped the oursimplelovestory.com to oursimplelovestory.wordpress.com (which required me to change my DNS name servers to wordpress.com ones), my hosted site's dashboard reverted back to the wordpress.com dashboard (I lost my ability to use plug-ins and all my fonts and theme reverted back to oursimplelovestory.wordpress.com). I could no longer access the dashboard with my plugins. So, I cancelled the domain mapping, changed my DNS name servers on my hosted site back to default, and got the refund.
Here's where it gets weird.
So, I go to my hosted site, and try to log into the dashboard with plugins, but I can't access it. It gives me, "Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain. " The log in takes me back to my wordpress.com dashboard which, yes, has a selection of my oursimplelovestory.com blog, but not the correct dashboard. Really, I just want the two separated so I can access my new site's dashboard with all the plugins. People can access both sites easily, but I can't access the dashboards.
In reality, I realize all I needed was a redirect, but I didn't know that was an option until too late. I wish I could rewind twenty four hours, but I can't. I haven't had any help from the wordpress staff, and that's probably the most frustrating thing through all of this.
