Has 72 hours passed since your purchased domain mapping and set the primary domain? It can take that long but rarely does for the domain name change to propagate throughout the internet.

Please verify whether or not you set the primary domain following your upgrade purchase > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#setting-the-primary-domain
Also clarify if this is the mapping of an existing domain that you previously owned or if it's a registration of a new domain.
