Hello,
LinkedIn allow you to 'promote your profile by adding a badge to your blog...' etc. They provide the HTML code for you to copy and paste.
Is it possible to do this in WordPress and if so, where do I paste the code?

Depends on the code. You might be able to put it in a text widget. What is the code?

I've just gone back to see how I did it and I can't find the option (maybe because I've already done it).
Anyway, try this:
Click Profile near the top of your home page.
In the highlighted section near the top of your profile, scroll down until you see a line for "Public Profile".
Click the Edit link and make changes.
When I had the code, I cut and pasted it into the Text widget and it works fine.
