Where to paste a HTML code for a blog link-up for a post I've already written?

    Trying to participate in a 'blog-link-up'. Hosting blog, 'That Mama Gretchen' is running a 'Plentiful Pantry' link-up and I'm confused as to where I am to paste the HTML code (in a post I've already written and published) to ensure I am in the 'linky'...? Do I paste it in the beginning of my post (just preceding first word) or at the end (following the last word) or somewhere else entirely? Thank you in advance?

    The blog I need help with is riperedberries.wordpress.com.

    We cannot use the Mr Linky code or similar linky codes here on our free hosted WordPress.com blogs becasue this is a multiuser blogging platform, the codes are not pure HTML, they are JavaScript codes and the software strips them out.
