For domain mapping? Yes, certainly. Any tld (top level domain) is allowed.
But any problems, send a support message in. -
It's just that the wp.com is only set up to purchase the *.net, *.com, and *.org domains. (Or at least that is what staff told me when I raised the issue) You have to obtain the domain from another registar and tell the registar to use wp.com's nameservers.
