white space between photos in posts

  1. Hello, I have the twenty eleven theme. I have placed photos in the post and the first 2 are perfect, then next 2 have a large white gap between them and the upper 2. I've tried the margin thing and maybe i'm putting it in the wrong place. Thank yoU!

The blog I need help with is julienealvoh.wordpress.com.

  2. Hello there,
Do you have a custom design upgrade for that blog and is this a CSS editing question?

  3. I have the custom design upgrade option, and it is an editing question. It works okay when i put 2 together of the same size and width, but if I try to add a longer in length size photo underneath, it places itself somewhere on the page with a large white space between

  4. We can't tell if we can't see the issue. Please try again and link to the post or page in question.

  5. @julienealvoh1
Thanks for your reply. I have flagged this thread so it will be moved to the CSS Forum for you.

  6. @TT: OP said "it is an editing question". I doubt it's a CSS editing question.

  7. You are probably using a flexible width theme, and if you insert images individually and try to place them exactly, then funny things may happen when the window size is adjusted.

I highly recommend using a gallery if that works for you. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/ for more information. Note that you can add a single column using all large images if you add the following to your post while you are in html editing mode:

    [gallery size="large" columns="1"]

Looks like you've been making some other adjustments to your CSS! If you have more questions about that, please start a new thread in the CSS forums and we'll help you make some more updates. :) http://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization/
