I have the twitter share button available on my posts and now see a number next to it indicating, I suppose, how many people have shared the post on twitter. Is there any way to know who these people are? Thank You!

You cannot get the individual identities of people who tweeted your post. The information that is available is found here on your site stats page > Dashboard > Site Stats > Totals, Followers & Shares

If you go to Topsy.com and put in the link to your blog, you should be able to find who tweeted it, unless they have a protected stream. Topsy is amazing. It even shows deleted tweets.
