Why ads if I paid for no-ads upgrade?

  1. I paid for the no-ads upgrade, but I still see ads on my blog.

The blog I need help with is bradleybanana.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi there,
If the ads you see are found at the end of blog posts then what you are seeing is WordPress.com generated advertising. Look for the About These Ads link to confirm. http://en.wordpress.com/about-these-ads/

WordPress.com does not use text enhance or text link ads or pop-up ads or links in comments. If you are seeing those then that's a browser-ad-on issue, or in some cases, it's embedded into free games and/or toolbars downloaded from the internet. See here: Bloggers: Beware of Adware. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/09/14/bloggers-beware-of-adware/

If what you are seeing whenever you save or update a post or page is an automatically added code/script block at the end of posts and pages that you can't delete then see here: Malware Targets Macs and Windows PCs http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/10/02/malware-targets-macs-and-windows-pcs/

  3. I am seeing ads across the very top of the blog and along the right hand side ("ads by mediaforce").

I am a teacher, so I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive blog, but I can't use this one if the pictures of people in their underwear keep appearing! I thought paying for no-ads really meant no ads.

  4. ads by mediaforce

Please take screenshots, upload them to your Media Library so Staff can examine them, and return to this thread to post the file names for them.

  5. I uploaded a screen shot to my media library. The file name is bradleybananablog-screen-shot.jpg.

  6. I made some changes, could you please check again? Sorry for the inconvenience.

  7. Interesting -- I don't see the ads when I am using my Mac, and my students don't see the ads on their Macs, but I still see them on my PC, whether I am logged into wordpress or not. So - for the most part the problem is fixed.

  8. whether I am logged into wordpress or not

From my understanding, if they were inserted by wordpress, you would not see them while logged in.

  9. Can you please try clearing out your cache?

Otherwise please make send us a screenshot of the page where you're seeing this. You can upload the screenshot to your blog's media library.
