Why are 2 of my blog photos showing on Google Photos?

  1. Hello,

There are 2 photos from my blog that show up on google when i type in my name - is there a way I can stop this from happening? Why are there only 2 out of the multiple images?

Would like them not to show up in google photos. Thank you,

    Sydney

The blog I need help with is sydneytokyo.wordpress.com.

  2. It takes weeks for search engines to index content. What attracts search engines is unique content the cannot in posts that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. Start now publishing original content posts frequently two or even three times weekly. For more information read > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/21/omg-i-cant-find-my-blog-on-google/

The process we use for verifying free hosted WordPress.com blogs with search engines is found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don't feel panicky about this please.

WordPress.com provides the search engines with site maps. We bloggers do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/

Lastly note that we cannot assist with search engine issues. They are between the blogger and the search engine. http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/

  3. oops! ignore this error please "the cannot"

  4. P.S. You are wrong about how many images are indexed and available via Google image search https://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1016&bih=550&q=site%3Asydneytokyo.wordpress.com%2F&oq=site%3Asydneytokyo.wordpress.com%2F&gs_l=img.12...1175.7959.0.9757.8.8.0.0.0.0.155.1181.0j8.8.0....0...1ac.1.26.img..3.5.758.c2GbWJRmRZ8

  5. Would like them not to show up in google photos. Thank you,

Then you only choice is to make the blog visibility private. To change blog visibility go to > Settings > Reading

IMPORTANT NOTE: The images at the link I posted have already been indexed by Google. Deleting blog content including images does not remove it from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 - 6 months
