Why are there separate stats for my "Home page" and my "Static page"?

  1. I have my site's "Summary and Outline" page set as my static page, so it is my home page. Why are there separate stats for "Home page" and "Summary and Outline"? Do I have something set incorrectly?
    Thank you,

  2. A view is only counted for a post or page when the permalink URL is visited. Blogs are designed to have dynamic content of the Front page. We can change this but all page views by readers who click into the site URL and not into a URL for a specific page or post are front page click ins. As most bloggers do not choose to change their Front page to another static page In most blogs the majority of clicks in are to the Front page of the blog.

There are ramifications that eshew from making the choice to change the Front page of a blog to another static page. There are eminfications that eshew from making the choice to restucture a blog from being post based to page based.
