Why aren't my images aligned?

  1. I was able to align the images under "Press Releases" just fine *until* I added captions to them. Now, as you can see, four line up neatly on one line. Then, on the following line, one stands out oddly to the right, while the next two line up neatly on the third line. I have standardized all the formatting and alignment and have no idea why this is happening. Help!

    The blog I need help with is gbsyracuse.wordpress.com.

  2. If you want two images to be side by side on the same line start by setting the alignment of all images to left.

  3. They are all aligned left. Now what?

  4. Hmmm ... I work by the seat of my pants so to speak. I would try changing the alignment of all images to "none" except the first image which I would align left. Hopefully justpi may stop in and help you.

  5. Okay, this is weird... when I changed the alignment of the second image to "none", the image stayed on the same line as the first image...but its *caption* jumped down to the second line!

    I'll keep fiddling with it, but if anyone can help me, I'd be most appreciative!

  6. Since the images are left aligned, each image is supposed to wrap around, i.e. show up next to the previous image if there's room enough. The caption of image 3 is two lines long but the caption of image 4 is only one line long, so there's some free room below it: that's why image 5 shows up below image 4. To prevent this from happening, switch the editor to Text (=code) and enclose shortcodes 5-7 in this code:

    <div style="clear: both;">
    SHORTCODES 5-7 HERE
    </div>
  7. That worked beautifully! Thank you very much!
