On the right hand side under the title categories, I'm not able to see the list of categories I created.

Why can't I see my list of categories on my blog's home page?

The Categories widget cannot display data that does not exist. There must be one published post in any category for their to be a display in the widget. Have you assigned each one to a published post yet?
