Why can't my blog be found?

  1. Hello,

I created a new blog under http://accordingtosarah.wordpress.com/ and it says it can't be found.

What do I needta do to get my AccordingToSarah blog?

    Thank you! (:

The blog I need help with is serendipity.wordpress.com.

  2. All you need to do is create a Post. You get that warning because there are no blog posts on that blog yet.

  3. accordingtosarah.wordpress.com has not been activated yet.

If you are having problems activating your site, please check your email for the activation link. I'll tag this thread for a Staff followup. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

This is not a 404 (page not found) issue. Click the first link to verify that.

  5. Wow, I've never seen that before.

  6. @raincoaster
Me either and that's why I shared it with you. Perhaps it's connected with the staff testing for new blogs which is apparently over now.

  7. I am not seeing http://accordingtosarah.wordpress.com/ as a site under your user account.

I would try creating it again.

Let me know if you have any trouble.

  8. I'm unable to re-create it because it says it's already taken. :/ I can't find an activation link anywhere, but at the same time, it's saying the page doesn't even exist.

  9. Now that I dig into it, it does look like http://accordingtosarah.wordpress.com/ is already associated with a WordPress.com account. Sadly, that means it will not be available.

  10. I thought that a blog name would revert to the wild if it was not activated after a certain amount of time?

  11. Currently, we have no system for recycling previously used WordPress.com URLs.
