  4. Hello there!

Email notifications are sent only to you when there are:

    • Likes received on your posts
    • Comments posted on your blog
    • Comments held for moderation
    • New blog Follows from WordPress.com users

    And in addition:

    • Forgotten password assistance
    • Updates from blogs you follow
    • New blog activation
    • Paid upgrades

Unfortunately, email notifications to the Administrator when a post is published is not currently supported.

Let me know if you had more questions about this. Thanks!

  5. I stopped getting email notifications of new posts from the blogs I follow 2 days ago?

Is this a temporary WP glitch?

  6. @kevinschaaf:

Apologies for my incomplete reply earlier. Have you tried looking at Settings -> Email Post Changes in your admin panel? I'm not seeing the option enabled.

Here's a full guide on its use:

Let me know if you have further questions!

    @johnzande:

Did you stop receiving notifications from all blog subscriptions or just a few of them?

  7. @ Druesome

Hi Druesome. Stopped getting notifications of new posts from all blogs i've subscribed to. Any suggestions?

  8. @ druesome -

Thanks - I've tried enabling that function and that might help. But I used to get notified for every new post. I was under the impression that anyone who was following the blog would get an email notice when a new post was published. I was following my own blog, so I should be getting these notices. Any ideas on how to fix that?

  9. @johnzande

Upon checking our logs, I'm seeing subscription emails sent you in the past few hours. Can you kindly look into your Spam folder if the emails somehow found their way there, or in the Social / Promotions tabs?

    @kevinschaaf

Sorry! I was under the impression that you wanted to track posts made by your authors in the administrative sense. However, I'm not seeing you following your blog at the moment. Can you please visit your blog here:

    http://teachingdiablogue.wordpress.com/

And click on the "Follow" link in the admin bar to follow it?

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/

Also, please be sure you have your desired subscription settings properly setup:

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks!

  10. @druesome

You nailed it! Thanks. Yep, my email spam box seems to have caught every new post notification.

Any reason why you think this might have started 2/3 days ago? Any suggestions as to how to clear all incoming WP emails?

  11. Thanks! And thanks for following The Teaching Diablogue!

  12. @johnzande

It's possible that one email you received from WordPress.com was marked as spam as a few days ago by accident, which would lead to others getting caught in your email's spam filter. You can try adding WordPress.com email addresses to your contact list in your email client to keep them from getting caught in the spam filter. :)

  13. @rachelmcr

Thanks, Rachel. After un-spamming all the WP emails everything seems to be working again. I blame my fingers for whatever happened :)
