   One of my first followers - we co-authored a book - his gravatar is missing all through my blog, wherever he has put a Like. It just says "blogger likes this." He says also, that my posts do not appear in his reader. There seems to be a glitch between our blogs? He is aryayogi.wp - please help if you can.

   I also noticed that in my reader, most of the gravatars don't show the image, they just have the wp logo, though they used to work ok. This happened after wp made a small change to the way we view the reader. Thanks.

   Hi there,

   If he's happened to change his email address and didn't also update Gravatar, that would definitely cause his image to default.

   Could you link to a post that he's like and I'll double check what's happening?

   It looks like he hasn't yet set a custom Gravatar. Currently, only custom Gravatars are displayed in the "likes" section - default ones aren't. He can fix this by logging into his account and uploading an image to be his Gravatar.

   He says also, that my posts do not appear in his reader.

   For privacy reasons, could you please have your friend ask us for assistance with this? He can either log in and post here, or start a new thread of his own.

   Could you please let me know a few of the usernames of folks whose Gravatars aren't showing? If they haven't set a custom Gravatar that may explain things. You can also check this yourself by looking them up here:

   Hi - yes, that is his profile. He hasn't changed his email, and until a month or two ago, his "likes" were showing on my blog. I will ask him to contact you, because he seems to have some problem at his end too.
   The user names whose gravatars aren't showing, were showing until the small change was made. Now just four or five from the top show their gravatars. But I will check this out again and come back to you. Thanks very much for your quick response.

   Hallo again - here are a few of the users whom I follow, whose gravatars stopped showing in my reader, six weeks ago. Magic of the Ordinary, Sun Hermit, John Coyote, What is real true Love (John). They all have custom gravatars.
   By the way, this is the reader which I access from the dashboard, and it is often very slow to load, and I have to try several times. I don't have this problem with the reader on the stats page.
   I've noticed two or three more likes on my blog which are just marked "blogger", so these are non-gravatars. I see. Thanks.

   Sorry to trouble you again, but I notice that in all my recent posts, there are likes by unknown bloggers. This didn't happen earlier. They all are friends, their names used to appear, and I do like to keep in touch with who has visited, on the blog. Is it possible to bring back the pattern logo and their name, for the ones who haven't made a gravatar?

   Hiya - as I mentioned earlier, we only display non-default Gravatar images. When users without a custom Gravatar like a post, they receive a message encouraging them to upload a custom Gravatar. Hopefully over time, more and more folks will take advantage of the offer!
