I recently joined WordPress to read a particular writer's blog, following all the sign-up guides, etc., including creating a password. Some of the blog's entries are password protected. When I type in my password, there is no response -- the entry doesn't open and there's no message to indicate that there might be a separate password for that blog, nor how to create it if that's the case. What am I missing, or what am I doing wrong?

The password for protected post is not the same as your login password. The blog author needs to send it to you in order for you to read the post. Could you try contacting the author to ask the correct password?
Thanks, naokomc, I didn't realize that. I'm not a very computer-literate guy. There doesn't seem to be a way to contact the blogger, but I have re-subscribed to the blog in hopes that he will let me know how to set a password.
