Why is 'Contact Me' comments not being sent to my email?

  1. Hello I am wanting to add a 'Contact Me' page which allows people to send me a message to my email. The same email that I used to registered with WordPress. In the 'Pages' tab I added a new page and inserted the following code in the text and visual tab:

    [contact-form] [contact-field label="Name" type="name" required="true" /] [contact-field label="Email" type="email" required="true" /] [contact-field label="Website" type="url" /] [contact-field label="Comment" type="textarea" required="true" /] [/contact-form]

It looks correct, and displays the correct email address, and tells me that it was sent. But it doesn't show up in my email despite telling that it was sent.

  2. You have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com.

Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.

Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.

  3. Also look in the Dashboard >> Feedbacks to see if there are any contact forms listed there that were sent

Did you build the form by hand or by using the Contact Form builder in the editor?

  4. PS - at least the global contact form to a single email seems to be working as I sent a contact form from my web site and I received it

  5. Thanks for replying everyone. I really appreciate all of the responses. I was able to get it to work.

    Thanks again,
