Why won't "likes" load?

  1. Likes Loading...For the past several days, I've been unable to "like" any blogs and the "likes" are not showing up on mine (although I'm getting notification that they're coming in). I've checked the settings for my own blogs (three) and should be showing the "likes." I want to be able to let other bloggers know I like their posts, too.
    Thanks...

The blog I need help with is ggmissm.wordpress.com.

    scroll down to "likes"

If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache:

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

If it’s still happening, let us know exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/ and also post any error reports you get.

  3. Thanks, but I don't think this is the problem. I use Internet Explorer 9 and it's been working fine until about two weeks ago. I regularly clear the cache and did it very recently. I didn't make any changes to the settings before this problem started. I think it's something in the WordPress settings. Similar to the problem of the text jumping around when I'm trying to post - that's definitely not a problem with my browser. WordPress problem. Why would it just happen out of the blue?

  4. Correction - I have IE 8.

  5. Thanks for confirming that you are using IE8. I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  6. That definitely sounds like a browser issue to me, and IE 8 is a bit out of date.

Would you be able to upgrade to at least IE 9 or try one of the other browsers listed here?

  7. Thanks...yes, I'm going to upgrade to at least IE9 - I thought I'd already done it and was surprised when it wasn't correct. I've tried a couple of other browsers in the past and they just seemed to muck up the system...had to uninstall them. I'm obviously overdue for a new computer!

    Appreciate the help...

  8. You can upgrade here http://browsehappy.com

  9. You're welcome!
