Why won't my pictures show up?

  1. My pictures are not showing up. Someone posted a comment that they aren't there, and when I go in to individual posts to edit them, they aren't there either. The person commenting said they tried different browsers. Thank you.

The blog I need help with is missingeliana.wordpress.com.

  2. http://virtual-memorials.com is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog. If that's the site you refer to then you posted to the wrong support forum. We do not provide support at WordPress.COM for any installs of WordPress.ORG software. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs being hosted right here on this multiuser blogging platform.

If you don't have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  3. The last post published on missingeliana.wordpress.com was published in 2010 and it's 2013. If you are referring to another free hosted WordPress.com blog please post the URL for it.

  4. missingeliana.wordpress.com is the site that I'm asking about. Thank you.

  5. In order to be displayed online all images must be hosted online.

Where are these missing images hosted please?

When the images are in your Media Library you can insert them into your posts and they will display when browsers call for them. When an image is deleted from your Media Library it's no longer on WordPress.com servers and cannot be displayed when browsers call for it.

    (1) Are these missing images found in your Media Library ie. on WordPress.com servers?

    • Did your delete theme from your Media Library in which case you will have to upload theme again.
    • Or are these images hosted on another site?

    (2) If they are hosted on an image hosting site like Flickr or photobucket, etc. check for known issues at the image hosting site.

    (3) If they are hosted on another site that does not allow hotlinking then then images may come and go, or simply disappear, or sometimes they will be linked to a stop hotlinking message.
