Widget Question in Nishita

    I really like the Nishita theme, but when I test it out on my test blog http://kamstester.wordpress.com all my social network icons in my about me text box widget go in a straight line down the widget, and it seems like the link for the icon goes all the way across the width of the widget (you can click even when the mouse is no longer directly over the icon). Anyone know of a way to get the icons to go straight across like on my http://thekams.wordpress.com blog?

    did you add the icons yourself? if you did, you could try some inline CSS in your "a" tags. Example:

    <a rel="alternate" href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/EscapeThroughThePages" style="display: inline;">
<img title="Follow in a reader" src="http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a73/mt4livejournal/Dreamwidth/rss.png" />
</a>

    See if that helps.

    I did add them myself, yes. I tried your suggestion but it still has each icon on a line by itself. Thanks though!

    I'm seeing two rows of four icons each. Try refreshing your browser or clearing your browser's cache and cookies.

    Yea, I've been playing around with the coding I have in the text widget for the icons, and what's there now is about the best I can fix it to. It's better than one straight line, at least. Thanks for the tips, though!

    You can have them all in one row, if you wish, but then they'll be too small in my opinion (your sidebar is a lot narrower than the sidebar of the other blog).

    This might be a good topic for the CSS Customization forum (http://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization) since it's not part of the theme itself.

    Ok! That's what I had been wondering, if it was some code I needed or part of the theme keeping me from having pictures side by side in the widget. Thanks!
