widgets

I have gotten no response from the community with my problem. I need a happiness engineer. The search widget is NOT listed among the widgets I am using on my blog yet it's there on my blog. It doesn't work. I want to delete it. How can I do that? Thanks.

The blog I need help with is sweetpaprika.wordpress.com.

  2. It's there because it's part of the theme you are using. Here is the page about your theme:

    http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/koi/

To get rid of it you've either got to change to a different theme, or it might be possible (but I can't say for sure) to buy the CSS customization upgrade and do it that way.

As for not getting any response from the community, unfortunately you have to wait until someone is here who knows the answer to your question. If nobody is, then you won't get a response.

Thanks, Absurdoldbird, tor taking the time to respond to my query. You mentioned that "search" widget was part of the theme I'm using. However, it used to work. Now, of late, it doesn't. I can pull up another "search," and it does work, but then I have two on my blog--one that works and one that doesn't work. The one that doesn't work overlays another word on my header. Not cool.

I checked out the CSS customization upgrade you suggested and read the tutorial. I'm afraid I just didn't understand it at all. I have no qualms about purchasing it. It just seems that I'm not ready for html.

By the way, your blog is beautiful. I would love to be able to do all those clever things. Kudos!
