How do i set up my image widgets such as my facebook button to open in a new tab/window?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you are using a text widget, the easiest approach is to create a draft post and set it up the way you want ie.with links that open in a new window. Then you can copy and paste the code from the Text editor in the draft post into the text widget and delete the draft post.

In the TEXT (html) editor (as well as in text widgets), instead of this:
<a href="URL HERE">TEXT HERE</a>
you write this:
<a href="URL HERE" target="_blank">TEXT HERE</a>

P.S. The reason I answered as I did above is that there is not option provided in the image widget to do that > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/image-widget/
